Ideally, you should start your journey at Luton, Stansted Airport, or Heathrow. The first crossing is to Hughenden Manor which is a magnificent Victorian mansion. You will then continue to the famous Blenheim Palace, where, among other things, Winston Churchill was born. On the way to your destination town of Cirencester, you will stop for a stroll in the delightful village of Bibury. The next day you will begin first thing in the morning with a visit to perhaps the prettiest village in England: Castle Combe. Then in the afternoon you will visit the city of Bath with all its amazing sights.
On the third day, you will head to the village of Bourton-on-the-water which is famous for its low arch bridges and the many activities you can do there. A short drive will then take you to the romantic village of Lower Slaughter, and later to a small town called Stow-on-the-Wold, where there is a charming church whose entrance is flanked by mature yews which have grown into the building. In the afternoon, see the unusual Broadway Tower and tour William Shakespeare's hometown. Then move on to the spa town of Leamington Spa for the evening. On day four you'll take a tour of Bletachley Park, but before that you'll make a short visit to the beautiful Chesterton Windmill. The tour at Bletachley park will take you the whole afternoon.
In the evening you'll drive over to the iconic student city of Cambridge which you'll explore on the fifth day. There's more than enough to see! A visit to King's College chapel is absolutely essential! On the sixth day, you return the rental car and move on to London. In the afternoon, you'll visit Camden Market and maybe manage to walk the crossing at the legendary Abbey Road. In the evening, take a stroll on the Millennium Bridge and along the Thames. On day seven, you'll spend the morning visiting and exploring the unique British Museum, have lunch in Chinatown, and drive to nearby Brixton to see where David Bowie grew up. Visit the beautiful Sky Garden or explore Leadenhall Market if you have some time! On the last day, day eight, you can spend the morning at Madame Tussauds London.
