LIVERPOOL (THE BEATLES)
England

LIVERPOOL (THE BEATLES)

  • 3 days
  • singles, couples
  • spring, summer, fall

If you like the Beatles, then this short trip is for you. But Liverpool offers so much more, and you can easily tailor the itinerary to your interests. You will only spend 3 days here, but they will be full of The Beatles and great beer. Of course, the popularity of The Beatles has made this city a tourist attraction. I resisted visiting Liverpool for a long time, I don't even know why, but in the end, I was very pleasantly surprised, and I will definitely go there again.

4.6 / 5

After arrival at John Lennon Airport, transfer to your accommodation. You'll then go on a tour of Liverpool Cathedral, from the tower of which you can see almost the entire city. Later in the afternoon or evening you will visit the famous Mathew St. and the now legendary The Cavern Club. Although it's a big tourist attraction, it's worth having at least one beer here. Just a short walk away is the Eleanor Rigby Statue.

Day two is all about The Beatles and music in general. You'll start first thing in the morning with a tour of The Beatles Story, then head to the excellent British Music Experience Museum. In the afternoon you'll visit John Lennon's childhood home and Strawberry Field. You'll also spend some time looking for Eleanor Rigby's gravestone. Then there's a great choice of restaurants and bars for dinner.

On your last day you'll head to the iconic Penny Lane and Paul McCartney’s childhood home. Then there's just enough time to transfer to the airport. If you're a true The Beatles fan and want to visit as many of the places associated with them as possible, consider taking advantage of a programme from one of the agencies that specialise in this. The offer is very wide. Conversely, if you want to see more than just The Beatles, check out our range of alternative destinations. You'll surely put together a programme that suits you.

Travel Info

Plane tickets – use your favourite flight search engine. If you don't have a favourite, try kiwi.com.

Tickets – if you're coming here in the summer season, it's best to get your tickets in advance. At least for The Beatles Story (here), and for the British Music Experience (here).

Calls and data – the UK is not part of the EU, so check with your provider for call and data prices. WiFi is common in hotels and restaurants and is free.

When to come here – pretty much any time except during the winter months. In the summer months of July and August it tends to be very crowded. So, it's best to come here in spring or autumn.

TIP – if you're a really passionate The Beatles fan and really want to see everything, then consider taking one of the "Beatles tours" in addition to your individual programme in Liverpool – the selection of tours on offer is more than wide. For example, Mop Top Tours have amazing reviews and they do half and full day tours.
