Description

Masada is a fortress that was built by Herod the Great in the 1st century BC. During the First Jewish-Roman War, Masada became the last place of resistance of the Jewish rebels against the Romans. Masada is still a great symbol of Israel today. Before you head here, read something about this place. You can go up by cable car or walk up the so-called snake trail. Walking up is great, it’s a really big hill though, but then again, the feeling at the top is just priceless. Anyway, if you go on foot, take enough water with you.

One of the most beautiful places in Israel!
